THE LUNAR EFFECT
Backseat Rebel's latest long-form narrative project is romantic comedy The Lunar Effect.
Described by writer Nikos Andronicos as “Reality Bites for the Tinder generation, filmed on the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey”, it’s about four Millennials’ search for love in Martian surroundings.
Originally written as a feature screenplay, it’s recently been adapted for the stage as part of a development process.
The theatrical incarnation, premiering at The Old Fitz Theatre in Sydney’s CBD, features Ad Nauseam stars Andrew Johnston and James McFay, as well as Jane Mahady and Teresa Jakovich.
