Backseat Rebel's "Crazy Bastards" up for an AWGIE

April 13, 2015

Our ABC TV mini-series Crazy Bastards, starring the evergreen and ever-cult comedian Justin Heazlewood (aka The Bedroom Philosopher) and co-written by Justin and BSR's Nikos Andronicos, has been invited to submit for a TV comedy writing award by the Australian Writers Guild (aka an AWGIE). Cross your chinos and sink a Fosters for us.

Justin has been a busy boy of late, writing and presenting a Radio National series to accompany his book Funemployed, about the realities (and unrealities) of being an artist in Australia. The series and book both feature interviews with plenty of interesting artists and performers, including a smattering of wisdom/creative cursing by Nikos.

Download the entire radio series, and grab yourself a copy of the excellent book. They're both a must for any creative Australian, and for anyone who knows a creative Australian...!
