We're ecstatic to announce that Screen Australia has selected Backseat Rebel for its Hot Shots: Short Fiction Funding program!

Our short animated comedy Fish With Legs will receive funding from ScreenOz as well as mentorship from some outrageously talented giants of the industry.

The film is about a school of fish that wakes up one day to discover they have all grown legs. Is it evolution, or a punishment from god? You'll have to wait until early 2016 to find out.

It'll be directed by our longtime collaborator Dave Carter from a script by BSR's Nikos Andronicos, who will also produce alongside Tania Frampton.

We're stoked to be selected alongside such top-notch projects, including another animated piece by one of our all-time Australian comedy heroes, former Doug Anthony Allstar Paul McDermott.
